Wee bottles with Iona marble pieces in; all handmade from pebbles I find on the beach at Columba’s Bay. A lovely little reminder of Iona and its natural beauty.
Iona marble, also known as greenstone, is distinctive for the flecks of green serpentine through it. Technically considered an imperfection in the marble, it is this very thing that makes the marble found in Iona so admired.
The pebbles are suspended in resin, and some have sand from the beach in them too. Each has a gold loop attached so you can hang it.
