This is an original abstract mixed media painting I did this spring on Fabriano artist’s card. It was inspired by the Scottish west coast at Luskentyre beach in Harris. I wanted to achieve contrast by using mixed media. The first layer is painted with inks to give transparency then with fluid and heavy bodied acrylic paints for more opaque sections. Pieces of patterned paper achieve texture then gold and white acrylic paints contrast by allowing fine lines. It measures 8 inches. It will be sent unframed and unmounted so you can chose a frame that suits your surroundings. I have included a photo of it in a black mount to show you how it would look in this.
