A lovely fused glass art sculpture, size approx 300mm diameter. Designed and lovingly kiln fired three times to achieve the depth and sculptured appearance. Uses transparent, opaque and dichroic coe90 glass.
The inspiration came from the sea right outside my glass studio on the wonderful Isle of Bute.
I have included the wonderfully bespoke made hardwood plinth, waxed and treated by my friend and wood artist Ray Beverley – really makes the piece ‘zing’.

With the use of layered glass at numerous visits to the kiln, and combination of transparent glasses this really is a stunning piece to put on a window ledge. The photographs do not fully show the stunning effects that sun and light has on the piece. If you like the photos you will certainly not be disappointed in the art piece.
