Sketchbook/notebook with unique book cover using a technique called Suminagashi (marbling ink onto water) to give the effect of rock formations, as seen in many areas of the island. The chess figures are my interpretation of some of the Lewis chess pieces, designed using CAD (computer aided design), which is printed on top of the marbled paper. The front and back of the chess piece is printed on the relevant side.
The ‘Khadi’ book blocks are made of 100% long fibered cotton rag paper with a rough surface. Acid Free. Suitable for all painting and drawing techniques. Book only included, other items for scale.

The chess figures are my interpretation of some of the Lewis chess pieces, designed using CAD (computer aided design), which is printed on top of the marbled paper. The front and back of the chess piece is printed on the relevant side.
