Known by the native Innuit peoples of Labrador Canada (where it was first discovered) as ‘fire stone’ you can certainly see why it has become associated with the shimmering blues, golds and greens of the Aurora Borealis. I gave this beautiful natural gemstone a wire wrap ‘hug’ and finished the necklace with an 18 inch silver plated chain. Labradorite is an emotionally uplifting gemstone, reminding us to be thankful for the things we have and to find joy in the little things – like looking up and the night sky and maybe even seeing those Northern Lights.
