In both Norse and Celtic mythology, the oak tree and acorn symbolise the interconnectedness of all life and the cycles of nature. The acorn in particular was seen as a symbol of prosperity and good luck and a protector of health. I wanted to use this symbol and combine it with the gemstone Jasper which is also considered to have protective energies. With its amazing natural patterns and warm earth tones, Jasper is associated with the earth, home and our sense of security. Pretty powerful wee earrings, don’t you think?
