Surrounded by the sea here in the Isle of Skye, I often seek inspiration from the coast and seashore. This stunning gift boxed necklace and earring jewellery set, features Aquamarine – a gemstone that sings of the sea. The Roman philosopher Pliny once wrote that ‘the lovely aquamarine…seems to have come from some mermaid’s treasure house’. With this design, I chose to add a pop of neon blue Apatite to contrast with the pastel shades and I also added silver plated beads and a simple wire wrap to finish the necklace.
Aquamarine is the traditional gift choice for 19th wedding anniversaries, but its calming energies and association with the tides and the moon, make it a great choice for her at any time!
