About Isle of Cumbrae Distillers

Take a group of five strangers who met on a Scottish island, a shared love of gin and a passion for the island they call home and what do you get? Isle of Cumbrae Distillers. Launched in September 2020, Isle of Cumbrae Distillers is distinctly positioned as one of the only all-female distilling teams in Scotland and the only international team, drawing representation from the UK, Canada and the US. We produce 3 delicious craft gins which have won several prestigious international awards. In October 2021 we also won the Association of Scottish Businesswomen Most Innovative Start-up and the Ayrshire Businesswomen’s Enterprise of the Year.

Located on the West Coast of Scotland, less than one hour by train from Glasgow and two from Edinburgh, the Isle of Cumbrae is distinguished as Scotland’s most accessible island, with a relaxing 8-minute ferry ride from the mainland town of Largs. Surrounded by an ever-changing sea and magnificent views of the surrounding islands of Bute and Arran, our main town of Millport embodies the typical small Scottish island community, with an historic Victorian town centre dotted with a range of shops and pubs, encircling a charming harbour.
