Silky Stuff Mull

About me

Thank you for visiting my page. I am Jacqui, and I have lived on the Isle of Mull with my husband Mike for almost 9 years. Enjoy Mull is the name of our small business and until 2020 we ran wildlife tours. We currently run a self-catering let.

Now as we are getting older in years we have taken a step back which allows me time to do my craft work.

Craft work is a love of mine from being young, often getting into trouble for getting messy and with paint and glue. I haven’t changed with age, I still tend to have dyed hands and splashed clothes most of the time.

I particularly enjoy painting on fabric, in fact our home has mostly hand painted lampshades, I restore tired objects such as an old knife block and some of our doors have various paintings of flowers and grasses. Our bathroom wall has a sea look with silver fish across it.

The Island of Mull is a perfect place for inspiration at any time of year.

The colours, light, moody skies and weather give me so many ideas for my craft work.

I have been working with arts and crafts for many years. Running workshops for adults and in schools, and more recently working in the community woodland of Ardura here on Mull running natural dye workshops for adults. They were great sessions set in a beautiful woodland.

I run small silk painting workshops through the year here on Mull.
